

| David Wittkower’s career as a Producer, Director and Cinematographer has spanned 26 years. After graduating from The American Film Institute in 1981, Wittkower pursues work as camera operator on features, while pursuing his work as a Cinematographer and Director in documentaries. His interests gathered the attention of The Learning Channel and his work, “Firefight: Stories From The Front lines,” about the wildland firefighter, premiered on The Learning Channel in March 2000 and won 9 film festival awards. Another film, “Cowboy Up: Inside the Extreme World of Bull Riding,” takes a hard look at modern-day bull riding and the people behind it. It too has won 8 awards and gathered the attention of The Outdoor Channel and OLN Canada which broadcasted the film. In early 2006, Wittkower completed two films. One called “The Drive of a Champion: The Joe Beaver Story” a biography about 8 time World Champion calf roper, Joe Beaver, and “Turn & Burn: Inside the World of Barrel Racing” which takes an inside look behind the world of the sport of Barrel Racing. In 2007, Mr. Wittkower completed two films, Rodeo Combat: Inside the World of Professional Bullfighters and TBI: One Woman’s Journey Through Traumatic Brain Injury and now Challenge of Champions: The Story of Lane Frost and Red Rock has received high praise from the rodeo community. Wittkower’s Cinematographers credits are seen on TLC, Discovery, History, Travel, Outdoor, VS and PBS channels. One of these include “Free a Man to Fight: Women Soldiers of World War II,” seen every March on The History Channel and many other programs. When not producing and distributing his own films, he works on other features and other documentaries as a Director of Photography / Camera Operator, Producer and Director.
